Dr. David Buckley
I qualified from the Royal Free Hospital in London in 1984 and after taking on various hospital jobs around London and Oxford, I undertook GP training in Abingdon which I completed in 1989. I then joined a GP practice in Stratford upon Avon as a partner and remained there for 33 years until I left in 2022.
During my time as a GP I took on additional roles as GP trainer, GP tutor, drug addiction specialist and senior partner, whilst also working in a hospital role as an upper gastrointestinal endoscopist. After I left the practice I worked briefly as a private GP, whilst continuing to provide endoscopy sessions at Evesham and Warwick hospital.
Currently I am working in the NHS as a locum GP in Warwickshire. Whilst I enjoy all the challenges that General Practice brings, my main clinical interests are in cardiology, gastroenterology, dermatology, minor surgery and joint injections.
I have two grown up children who have left the nest. In my spare time my wife and I enjoy skiing, keeping fit, travel, reading, opera and musical theatre, and have a bucket list of places to visit which we are slowly making our way through!
