Dr. Pippa Munro
After growing up in London, I originally took a degree in Psychology at Oxford University but during that time decided that Medicine was my calling.
I graduated from Southampton medical school in 1997 and completed my GP training in and around the South West achieving the MRCGP in 2006.
I have worked in Gloucestershire as a GP for 14 years but during that time I have developed a special interest in women’s health, particularly healthcare around the menopause. I am very keen on looking holistically at an individual paying attention to lifestyle, diet and exercise to improve menopausal symptoms and to maximise long term health. The Menopause consultation is a great chance to make changes which could have positive knock on effects on future health. I am a member of the British Menopause society and attend their annual conference and training days. I have a Certificate in the Practices and principles of menopause care.
I am married to Will and am mum to 4 children and enjoy getting outside in the Cotswold countryside in running shoes or walking boots with my little cavapoo, Luna. I sing in the Gloucester Choral Society and am trying to learn Italian. I love travelling and I relax by reading, gardening and cooking.
